Welcome to my blog grade 7 & 8 students! I hope you will enjoy this page that I have created. Think of this blog as a way for us to continue to communicate while I am in South Africa. I encourage you to post messages and share interesting information that you come across. Perhaps you find an interesting fact about South Africa that you would like to share with me and the rest of the class. Or maybe something exciting is happening at Colonel John Butler that you think I would like to know about; I welcome any updates on the school and class. Also, I invite you to post questions and I will do my best to answer them.

Good luck with the Spoken Word Festival!
Talk to you soon,
Miss Dixon

Ms. Dixon, please post a message as soon as you get access to the internet. It will be cool to get your first impressions of the country. We are gearing up for our Earth Day celebration on Tuesday. Try to get a sense of if people in South Africa are even aware of Earth Day.
Cheers.

Things have been going well here at Butler. I can't believe that we are already in May. The weather has been fantastic and we are starting to gear up for Track and Field.

Is there anyway the students at Butler could connect with your new students? Let me know if you have any ideas.

Many of the students have written comments today. I am going to give them more time to post in the next few days.
